Founded in 2001, Socle Technology Corporation is one of the world's leading-edge providers of SoC (System on Chip) design and implementation services. From its headquarters in Hsin-Chu City (Taiwan), Socle serves a wide range of markets from computer and consumer electronics to communications products with customer bases in Europe, the Asia Pacific, and North America. Since 2004, Socle has been an ARM11MP, ARM1176, ARM926EJ, and ARM7EJ IP source licensee of ARM Limited and provides ARM SoC total solutions to meet customer application needs in MID, multimedia handheld communication, integrated connection, consumer electronics, and storage matters. In 2014, Socle was acquired by Foxconn Technology Group (Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Ltd). As a fully-owned subsidiary of Foxconn, Socle uses its expertise in semiconductor technology to manage semiconductor solutions within Foxconn. This includes the establishment of a worldwide IC channel to sell electronic devices from Tier 1 semiconductor companies such as SHARP and other products from Socle's partners.
